Service
“even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”” -- Matthew 20:28
Why should you serve? A simple one word reason, because.
Because The One who came to this earth, came to to serve & not just sit around and watch other people serve. The very night He was to be betrayed, He served His disciples by washing their feet. Not much later, He cried out on the cross “it is finished” as His last act of service when He died on the cross.
When we serve, we should do it with a humbled heart & let God get the glory. There are many people around here who do a lot serving, whether it be in the band, cleaning up, or serving over at the children’s building. It takes a lot of people doing the things around here at The X. So let me encourage you to talk to one of us to get you plugged in to help out around.
So, pray where The Spirit may lead you to serve here at The X.
Remember, the Elders are here to serve you.
