Core Beliefs
The following are the core beliefs of X Factor Church based on the foundational truths taught in the Bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines.
Bible
We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God. We agree with the Chicago Statement on Biblical Inerrancy. The Bible is infallible and complete. Furthermore, we hold the Bible as the sole basis of belief (sola scriptura).
Trinity
We believe in one God and affirm the doctrine of the Trinity. God has eternally existed in three Persons: Father, Son, Holy Spirit.
Jesus
We believe that Jesus was born of a virgin and that he is all God and all man. We further believe that he literally died on a cross as a sacrifice for our sins and rose from the grave three days later. We are called to accept and follow Jesus as Lord and Savior of our life.
Salvation
We believe that all have sinned and that salvation from eternal separation from God (aka Hell) can be found only through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and by placing our faith in him and asking for his forgiveness for the sins we have committed.
Revelation
We believe that God has given each person adequate proof of His existence through creation (General Revelation) and/or Scripture (Special Revelation) to freely make the choice to reject or accept Him.
Baptism
We believe that baptism is an important ordinance in the church. Jesus exemplified baptism by immersion and we are commanded to do the same. Baptism is not a means of salvation but rather an act of obedience.
Communion
We believe in the ordinance of the Lord’s Supper (Communion). We believe that this is an important symbolic remembrance of the sacrifice that Jesus made on the cross for all mankind.
Second Coming
We believe that Jesus will return again, and we look forward to that day.
Great Commision
We believe that evangelism, discipleship, and fellowship are the three cornerstones on which the church must be built.
