Forgiveness
1 John 1:9. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Wow, what a comforting word in forgiveness. Doesn’t matter what we have done, we are forgiven.
So, what does forgiveness really mean? It means exactly what it means, forgiveness. As Peter caught the eyes of Jesus as He was walking by him the night of His false accusations & arrest, Peter saw the eyes of forgiveness by the True Forgiver.
Since we are forgiven, why do we look back and dwell on the things we have asked to be forgiven of? I know I do. Or if Christ can forgive us, why do we hold over people’s head the wrongs they have done. Let’s cut the red tape of forgiveness & just FORGIVE.
